When troubleshooting private application reachability through Netskope Private Access, the Netskope UI provides two dedicated tools within the App Definitions page. The “Reachability Via Publisher” tool allows administrators to test whether a specific Publisher can reach the private application by initiating a connectivity check from the Publisher’s perspective. The “Troubleshooter” tool provides a broader diagnostic view including Publisher status, policy evaluation, and path analysis. Both tools are accessible directly within the App Definitions interface and do not require physical access to the Publisher server itself. Skope IT Application Events would show historical traffic events but does not validate current reachability. The “Clear Private App Auth” feature resets user authentication for private apps, which is unrelated to Publisher reachability testing.

Netskope provides multiple mechanisms for exporting security event data to external SIEM platforms. The two primary supported methods for pushing events and alerts from the Netskope Security Cloud to a SIEM are the Cloud Log Shipper and the REST API. Cloud Log Shipper allows organizations to configure continuous log delivery to cloud storage locations such as Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage, from which SIEM systems can ingest data. The REST API provides programmatic access to events, alerts, and other data types in near real-time, making it suitable for direct SIEM integration. Syslog streaming is not a natively supported method for pushing Netskope events directly from the tenant to a SIEM. The Cloud Ticket Orchestrator is a component within Cloud Exchange used for ITSM integration, not SIEM log forwarding.

When Netskope performs SSL inspection on traffic that uses certificates issued by an internal Certificate Authority (CA) not trusted by Netskope, the platform generates an SSL error and blocks the connection. To resolve this for internal sites using private CA certificates, three approaches are valid: bypassing SSL inspection for the affected sites using a Do Not Decrypt rule removes the certificate validation issue by passing traffic through without inspection; changing the SSL Error Settings in the Netskope UI from Block to Bypass for the self-signed or untrusted certificate error type allows the traffic to flow even when Netskope cannot validate the certificate chain; and importing the internal root CA certificate into Netskope’s trusted certificate store enables full chain validation for all sites using that CA. Creating a Real-time Protection policy to allow access or instructing users to click through errors are not effective or scalable enterprise solutions.
